About this article

Identical to the Classic Buckle Belt minus the buckle: 3.6 mm single-ply full-grain, seven holes, screw holes drilled and Chicago screws supplied. The natural undyed option arrives pale and will darken considerably in the first few months — that one is for people who want to watch it happen.

  • Same strap as the Classic, no buckle
  • Chicago screws included
  • Natural undyed option available

Read this before you order

  • No buckle is included. Your buckle must suit a 35 mm strap.
  • The natural undyed finish darkens quickly and unevenly with light and handling. That is the nature of undyed vegetable-tanned leather and is not a defect.

Care

Wipe the strap dry after wet weather and let it dry away from radiators. Balm the flesh side twice a year so the strap stays supple where it folds through the buckle.

Leather, materials and compliance

Natural characteristics. Grain variation, visible pores, healed scars, growth lines and colour differences between pieces are properties of a natural hide, not faults, and are not grounds for complaint. The leather will darken and gain a patina with light and handling.

Chemicals. Our tanneries confirm compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) Annex XVII, including the chromium VI limit of 3 mg/kg for leather articles in contact with the skin and the restrictions on azo dyes that release listed aromatic amines. Supplier declarations are held on file and available on request.

Animal origin. Bovine hide only, a by-product of the food industry. We do not sell leather from CITES listed or otherwise protected species — no python, no crocodile, no lizard — and we do not sell fur.

Allergy note. Tanning agents, dyes and finishes can cause a contact allergy in a small number of people. We cannot rule that out for any leather article. Stop wearing the item and seek advice if a reaction occurs.

Getting the length right

Do not order by trouser size. Measure an existing belt you like from the fold at the buckle to the hole you actually use, and order that figure. Our straps ship long and are trimmed at home.
