About this article

Six cards sit inside a hinged anodised aluminium box, which is a considerably better enclosure than a foil interlayer because it closes on all sides. The leather is a wrapped outer shell — it stops the metal ringing in a pocket and gives the case something to grip with. Cards fan out on a thumb lever.

  • Hinged aluminium body, six-card capacity
  • Thumb lever fans the stack
  • Leather-wrapped outer shell

Read this before you order

  • Test conditions: with the lid closed and cards fully seated, an ISO/IEC 14443 Type A reference card did not respond to a 13.56 MHz reader at 0–40 mm. With the lid open, cards are exposed and unshielded.
  • This does not protect against card fraud generally, and is untested against 125 kHz credentials. We make no absolute security claim.

Care

Wipe the leather with a dry cloth; balm once or twice a year. The aluminium body needs nothing. Do not put the case through a dishwasher or use solvent cleaners on the anodised finish.

Leather, materials and compliance

Natural characteristics. Grain variation, visible pores, healed scars, growth lines and colour differences between pieces are properties of a natural hide, not faults, and are not grounds for complaint. The leather will darken and gain a patina with light and handling.

Chemicals. Our tanneries confirm compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) Annex XVII, including the chromium VI limit of 3 mg/kg for leather articles in contact with the skin and the restrictions on azo dyes that release listed aromatic amines. Supplier declarations are held on file and available on request.

Animal origin. Bovine hide only, a by-product of the food industry. We do not sell leather from CITES listed or otherwise protected species — no python, no crocodile, no lizard — and we do not sell fur.

Allergy note. Tanning agents, dyes and finishes can cause a contact allergy in a small number of people. We cannot rule that out for any leather article. Stop wearing the item and seek advice if a reaction occurs.
